This is a little late only because I wanted to post it from Gnocchi. He’s my new iMac. SQUEAL! I’m astonished at the difference seven years make in the tech world as this makes my old computer like like an AMC Pacer in comparison. Verdict: love it! On to the Roundup…

Big Daddy found a Pee-wee sound board!

James Dobson of Focus On The Family fame seems to have lost most of his political clout. He refuses to support McCain and had several typical things to say about Obama. His latest outburst inspired Pastor Dan to write this extraordinary and beautifully written smack-down.

You wanna talk about Women’s Choice Issues? Hot Doctor Wife poised this question to her readers about preemptive surgery to remove your breasts and/or ovaries if your risk factor basically guaranteed that you would get cancer.

…and finally, something funny. I mean absolutely fucking hilarious. I quite literally had tears running down my face from laughing so hard. It is — simply put — a Star Wars Dance-Off video.

Somehow Jester brainwashed me into being his guest on tomorrow night’s Jester Show. After hearing a few episodes there is only one word to describe it: chaos. He doesn’t censor anyone and so he gets everything from thoughtful insights to people screaming some rather naughty naughtiness. I’ll be taking some aspirin beforehand, maybe some Valium and going to meditate an hour before the show so I have a clear mind and the ability to tell formulate an intelligent and emotionally crushing insult like, “Well, yeah. You’re a pumpkin head in the garden!” Someone is so going to cry tomorrow tonight.

You can either use Talk Shoe’s web interface or download their software if you would like to listen. It starts at 8:00 PM MDT tomorrow (Wednesday, June 25). No, Mountain Time always gets shafted as the bastard time zone, so figure out your time zone on your own! :-P

(I’m warming up.)

Side Note: I’ll be starting the transfer to a new host here in a bit. If the blog doesn’t work, that means you found the new host and I haven’t had a chance to upload my database.

Oh, it’s been a rough week — dehydration, fevers, drinking Pedalyte… Actually, the Pedalyte isn’t too bad. Anyway, today I’m feeling better, but still a little chilled. I just hope the improvement keeps coming. This week’s Roundup is so, so gay which is fitting as it’s Gay Pride weekend in Denver. How do I know? My housemate went out last night (on a school night) and didn’t get home until 1.

INAPPROPRIATE ALERT: I won this caption contest over at Mangina Monologues.

Michelle Obama has been a great supporter of the gay community and it seems that the GOP has decided to target her in their attacks… oops, I mean campaigning. Pam’s House Blend gives some tips on fighting back with facts about his wives.

Heather writes about her pride (pun so intended) about California performing their first same-sex marriage.

…and Good-As-You posted these videos with John Stewart’s reaction to California performing their first same-sex marriage.

Remember The Flirts? I used to watch this video that Big Daddy posted all the time on HBO’s Video Jukebox. My response as an adult: I didn’t know Pete Burns was in a band before Dead Or Alive.

And finally, I’ll leave you on a very serious note. Miss Britt posted this wonderfully sincere and heartbreaking piece on finding out her son is being called gay and the hardships of explaining to an 8-year-old that while there is nothing wrong with being gay, the context the kids are using it in makes them bullies.

First I need to share with you the album will probably have the best title this year. Martha Wainwright’s new one: I Know You’re Married But I’ve Got Feelings, Too. Hilarious! Plus she does a fun cover of Eurythmics’ “Love Is A Stranger” on the US version.

On a more serious, but kinda related thread, Mr. Fabulous is a funny, funny man and I’ve been a fan for quite some time. There has been a lot of personal stuff going on with him of late — divorce, moving in with another woman, that seemingly going through a melt down and finally back to Florida with his ex-wife. Many of his fans have been upset at the lack of details, but I’m one for just letting Mr. Fab figure it all out without added pressure. Mr. Fab, if you end up reading this, take your time. This is your life. You figure out what you need to make you happy, but come back and continue to write in some fashion. Miss you!

I need to give a shout-up to a new read that I discovered whilst listening in to one of Jestertunes’ shows. Dave over at Blogography is a snarky, well-written, travelin’ S.O.B. Plus he pointed out this spoof video of what it means to be a Republican.

Scott is ‘claiming’ he’s coming back from hiatus soon. We’re waiting!

And finally, why — oh why — does anyone watch Fox “News”?
