Yes, it’s that time of year where the worst in human behavior is cultivated and nurtured from the fertilizer that is a blog award. A couple of years ago, two of my favorite blogs — which I nominated — made it to the finals. Then the ugliness started. Attacking comments from competitors’ readers and, in one instance, direct attack from an author during voting. It was as about as pretty as finding your mother passed out in front of the toilet swimming in her own puke from a cocaine binge.

With that in mind, you should totally go vote! Two of my favorite funny bloggers were nominated in the Best Humor category: Bossy and Diesel.

I had the privilege of meeting Bossy when she did her blog road trip. I was her Denver host. (I have the pillow case touched by her beautiful hair in a frame above my computer. Kidding. Actually, I stripped the sheets and boiled them. Anyhoo…) She’s so very nice in addition to being a very talented writer.

Diesel, on the other hand, is a big, goofy, narcissist ball of sarcasm. (You know you’ll take that as a compliment, Diesel.) His observational humor is quite amazing and, unfortunately, sometimes makes you think. Yeah, he’s a jerk for that.

The problem is that they are in the same category, but The Weblog Awards has made it easy to deal with. Their cheat-free, totally-hack-proof, extremely-fair system of voting always you to vote once every 24 hours. Vote for both! You can find the ballot here.
