I’m packing and working, so it’ll be hard to post anything this week; however, I have a few minutes before I absolutely have to start getting ready for work. Cameron has moved some stuff over to the new place and has spent his first two nights over there on an air mattress. I stopped by yesterday to drop off a small TV and the refurbished Tivo we purchased and got to meet our downstairs neighbors. They were both very nice and seem very easy going.

The big surprise was there was a gift waiting me. Cameron somehow had spent the past few months (since I was diagnosed with lymphoma) painting for me. Let me explain. The painting has to be 6 feet x 4 feet. It’s HUGE! And it was never in his apartment. I have no idea where he worked on it or how he got it over to the apartment yesterday since I had the car. It’s beautiful and will post a picture as soon as I get some taken.

Other thoughts:

The newest tropical storm (now a hurricane) is named Gustav. That’s the name of my Jetta! (I didn’t say there were deep thoughts.)

I’m wondering how long it will take the Obama campaign to quote Ted Kennedy last night. Kennedy’s speech was marvelous in its tone, content and delivery and really got the crowd going when he said, “Yes, we will!”. Sounds like a great thing to put on an Obama/Biden t-shirt.
