Jeers to them for breaking the story of Obama’s VP choice before the campaign had made its announcement to their supports simply to be first. Sure, it’s their job, but we were having fun waiting for a text message.

I got my official text at 1:50am my time (2:50a yours). The text wasn’t supposed to go out until this morning, but once some “anonymous” official leaked it to the press, they had to move things up. A shame really. It would have been a cool way to break the news.
The Associated Press said that the Democratic official who leaked the information asked to remain anonymous so as not to steal the thunder from today’s official announcement. Are you kidding me? Did he (or she) really expect the press not to go apeshit over it?

Yeah, I don’t understand why the leak acted that way either, but I hope they feel badly. And stub their toe!
