Howard Updated His Blog And All I Got Was A Stupid Meme
Tuesday, January 15th, 2008This one is fun though! Jami and SinisterDan discovered this. And now I get to copy and paste stuff without having to write much more which means I can do it in a hurry and get back to this darn job thing I have.
First, the meme:
You are in a band. Your band is about to release their first CD. Now, follow these directions to build it. Go to
1. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first article title on the page is the name of your band.
2. http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The tail (last three or four words) of the very last quote is the title of your album.
3. http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
The third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
4. Use the graphics program of your choice to put them together into your first CD.
And here we go…
1. My band name is…. actually, I already have names for the band I want to be in. Either Lift To Shower or The Love Puddles. But I digress… My band name is:
May 2006 In Oceania
Actually I like that!
2. And now introducing our first album that we made under contract with Simon Cowell after coming in second on American Idol. He’s actually a really nice guy when you get him alone. May 2006 In Oceania is proud to present its debut album:
With One’s Own Opinion
You see we came up with that when we got into a huge argument and decided to spend an entire day solving our problems with music, i.e. “With one’s own opinion, do I majorly thrash my guitar. Pass the heroin.”
3. & 4. And here’s a sneak peak at our album cover:

5. Oh, yeah. I’m adding a fifth part to the meme. I went to a random title generator site and came up with the names of the 12 tracks and they can be exclusively revealed here!
“Voyager in the Fairy” is our 10-minute opus, progressive, self-indulgent song that will wow die-hard fans, but critics will compare to Pink Floyd, Yes and Radiohead and dismiss it as an exercise in musical masturbation. We will, of course, defend it as our masterpiece, trash some major magazine, ruin our chance at getting interviews, which will eventually lead to our break-up before the second album is complete.
Our “Behind The Music” episode airs on VH1 next week. Things happen fast in the volatile world of music. Now if you’re excuse me, I have to go play Guitar Hero in order to rehearse for my solo debut.
