We join the roundup already in progress…

Oh, dear. It seems that Focus On The Family had to lay off some employees because donations are down. ::sniff:: …so sad.

Relatively new read dr.xnlb posted a video mesh-up of Pet Shop Boys’ “Minimal” with the Montgomery rap. So funny because Hayes and I always sing “mini-mall” when listening to the PSB’s song.

Andy has a spooky picture to show you.

Rcktman found this great video by the new band Escort meticulously edited to sync from The Muppet Show.

Good-As-You found these hilarious set-ups of musicals based on movies.

And finally, Craig figured out how exactly to do a celebrity gossip blog and made it look as if anyone could do it. Oh, wait. Anyone can.

I would like to point out I highlighted the minimall original video in a bad youtube video rant article months before Ellen featured it. April to be exact :)

That mashup is pretty good and kudos to the production. Top notch.

just wanted to add I am not trying to toot my own horn as much as pointing out how tv jumps on the bandwagon way too late.

If someone is on tv talking about a youtube video, it has already made the rounds online and is now in the ‘been there done that’ category.

  3. Howard Says:

No, it’s cool. I had no idea that Ellen had even aired it. I saw the original video months ago, too. Good write up, too.

  4. HDW Says:

That Focus on the Family thing is just so funny. I’m sure somewhere my mom has read that and is stepping up the donations. She lives in Christian Springs, as well. Crazy stuff.

  5. Chris C Says:

    Thanks :)

That article got me an easy $10, a part of the $33 I have made so far in my professional writing career hehe.

  6. Jason Says:

    Yay for the Thompson Twins!

    The Escort video was hawt.

  7. Diesel Says:

Damn, I’m slipping. I ALWAYS make the Roundup.

  8. RcktMan Says:

Whoo hoo! I’m in the roundup! That vid is so addictive!! The Muppets rule.

  9. Jami Says:

I hate to say this … but … what Diesel said.

  10. Howard Says:

HDW: Oh, well. At least there seems to be a downward trend.

Chris: I hope you stuffed that under you mattress for safe keeping

Jason: Oh, good. Another TT fan.

Diesel: It’s nothing personal. I actually went through a larger pile than normal and had some stuff from blogs that don’t normally show up here, so I concentrated on them.

Rcktman: Well, that was a fun find. Of course, it helps that I’m a fan of the Muppets, too.

Jami: Jeez! I’m sorry ‘bruised’ some egos this time around. That really wasn’t my intention.

  11. Chris C Says:

I just wanted to let everyone know that in honor of a special blog milestone my column today is open to the readers to create in the comments section. I have a great list of funny topics, and you can write what you like on any of them. It can be a sentence or two. It can be one hundred words.

But it is yours to create. So come on by and have at it.

  12. dr.xnlb Says:

Thank you for featuring me in the round up… I’m very honored!

    (move over diesel! :)

  13. Howard Says:

Dr: You ‘re more than welcome. And just like in the NLF, there is no victory dancing in the end zone.
