The weekly collection of interesting reads from around the blogosphere.

That sinus migraine that is still lingering around in a much lesser form really put me out of anything to do with blogs, so this is subsequently short. …and mostly videos.

Let’s start off with this Coke commercial brought to you by Say No To Crack.

Atari Age found this great non-sequitur clip about why we all drink.

ZZ Top is excited about returning to the studio. We’re tugging our beards wondering why.

Fastlad gives us the Accu-Wrath Forecast.

Daveman gives us the breaking news about a new “Bionic Woman” series while pondering what other classic TV to bring back.

Spooky’s animations are always funny; often hilarious. In this one, he ponders whether just child may be lacking in some essential something or whatnot.

Scott-O-Rama interviewed Hayes and made qPlog.net his featured blog of the week!

Ain’t It Cool News doesn’t normally post videos like this, but I can see why with this legendary geek star.

I’ve always love Dr. Strange from the Marvel Universe. Anyone remember the live action TV show that lasted all of six episodes or something? I do. It was on at our home whether the rest of the family wanted to see it or not. In its continue release of animated movies, Dr. Strange finally gets some more attention.

And finally, Jami at Not THAT Different posted some of her stand-up material. It’s damn funny!

Sinus migranes are not much fun. I figure its a little like having a car park on top of your head. Hope it gets better dude. Maybe have someone back the car off?

  2. Godwhacker Says:

I love Dr. Strange. There is a classic Fantastic Four comic where he takes down Galactus with a spell that called forth the souls of all that he had slain. It totally rocked! I’d love to see a live action movie. I’m holding my breath with the new FF movie. I hope they didn’t get it wrong again. Oh well, at least The Human Torch is eye candy.

  3. N.B. Goldstein Says:

Whoah. That Coke commercial was wacky. I will never share anything again. Thanks for that.

  4. hdw Says:

I love Jami’s work!! As always, love the round-up! xo

  5. Howard Says:

    Godwhacker:
My only hope for FF is knowing that almost anything is better than the first one. I still would just like to go to the last 10 minutes of the new one just to see Galactus peering over the horizon of Earth coz you KNOW they are going to do it.

    NB:
Doing my best to break all those lessons from kindergarten.

    HDW:
    She is great, isn’t she?

Glad someone else is excited about the Dr. Strange movie. Or at least interested. If you read comics much, I would suggest checking out the recent Dr. Strange mini-series “The Oath”. Very fun story, and cool old skool-looking art.

Also… LOVE the Old Spice commercial. Bruce Campbell is always a highlight of the Spider-Man movies, and he is so funny!

  7. Howard Says:

Yes, Bruce is a comedic/geek god. I’m sure Cartoon Network will be airing Dr. Strange the weekend before it comes out like they have with the other movies.

  8. Jami Says:

    Awww - thanks, y’all!

And just to add some more awe (get it?) to your lives, Frank Beard (ZZ Top’s drummer) lives near me. Of course, he lives on a 40+ acre mini-ranch … and I don’t.

Finally, I love damned near all the inhabitants of the Marvel Universe! But Dr. Strange and Silver Surfer are some of my faves - along with my boyfriend, Spiderman, of course.

    Daveman:
Wow, you weren’t kidding about the Spam blocker, were you? Should be fixed. And sinus migraine blow, too.

    Jami:
You are welcome. I wanted to make sure more people saw them. Funny that there is a ZZ Top connection, too.
