The weekly collection of interesting reads from around the blogosphere.

Shall we start with science this week? There was a report on a huge Arctic shelf breaking off on Dr. Masters’ weather blog.

Bad Astronomy Blog had this little post about how very few people in many countries seem to get the correct answer when asked the question: “What is currently gravitating around the Earth?” Please tell me you know.

Speaking of science did you know that on February 27, the next Land Before Time film will be released on DVD? Yes, it’s called Land Before Time XII: We’re All Going To Die So You Humans Can Recreate The World In Your Image And Claim That The Earth Is Only 6,000 Years Old. No, Don’t Mind Our Bones! They Are Only Oddly-Formed Calcium Deposits. Really! Not Buying It? Quick, Look Over There! Fool! Now We Will Make Our Escape Into Those Tar Pits! And, yes, it actually is number twelve.

In other entertainment news, take a gander at what the crew of the newest Pirates… movie got for Presents Days. Oh, and this just in! *Yawn* Britney is going to release a new album *Yawn — so sorry* before the end of the year. Zzzzzzzzz.

John Sadowski found a site that lists 13 photos that changed the world.

The Spicy Cauldron had a great write-up on discrimination.

And finally, a bunch of great stuff from Denver Bloggers:

Hubs compiled an outstanding list of places to keep your Wish List.

Agree with her or not, but Kath has some great points about having children.

Heather had a great post that might twist your mind.

And Hot Doctor Wife and Husband celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary. Congrats to you both!

I win again! It’s a hard race when it seems our blog roll is nearly the same. :)

Howard, I know what it’s like. You stare at the screen, proof-read, think it’s good to go and then, as if out of the blue, two days later, a huge spelling mistake materialises from nowhere.

I sometimes wonder if there’s the Internet equivalent of those gremlins, going through cyberspace eating the occasional letter or doing the odd rewrite…

I’m still laying traps for the sock monster that lives behind the washing machine. No luck yet. I once trapped the tooth fairy but she threatened me with a huge windfall and dentures, so I let her go. I can do without stacks of cash. But I want at least some of my teeth to stay with me until death do we part… x
