“West Hollywood Arm”
Friday, December 1st, 2006 at 6:00 amI had completely forgotten about this thread but posting this would have meant that I had used up all the songs I’ve made with my Mac. Can’t finish a project. Geez! Except that I’ve started to work on producing a new song (no name yet). This one was supposed to be a sequel to "Now They’ll Sleep" for my friend Ryan as he wanted a new ambient song. Well, when I started to mark loops for inclusion they all turned out to sound good with a fat beat and some jangly guitar. So this song was born.

The name "West Hollywood Arm" came from the fact that it’s the gayest song I’ve done and the beat sounded very strong. I recently uploaded this song to last.fm to ’start’ my own label — you know, just for fun — and they accepted it, so you may be able to hear it if your listening to their radio station soon.
As for the current song I started to work on, it has a lot of influence from other songs and some reused samples, but this time I’m experimenting with the equalizer and instrument software to change the sound of the loops themselves. So far, it’s been a lot of fun. Until then…
You can download "West Hollywood Arm" and keep it forever if you wish.
Listening to: Lick The Robot - DJ Earworm (the link is to his website where you can download the song for free. That’s two free songs! Will the generosity ever stop? Make sure you check out "No One Takes Your Freedom". It’s a great mesh-up!)

Yeah, last.fm is fun and I’m your friend there, too! Glad you like the song. The new one is even dancier.
