Roundup - Week Of Sep 23
Saturday, September 30th, 2006 at 8:00 amThe weekly collection of interesting reads from around the blogosphere.
Hot Doctor Wife posted this picture, which asks a very important question about the design.
The Spicy Cauldron has another great pet story.
Stolie started a week-long Dating series on her blog and she took me up on my somewhat jokey idea about “letting the cat off the leash” in front of your dating partner. Make sure you read the comments, too. There is some funny stuff in there.
hubs found an orgasmatron that he theorizes will actually work.
It’s been mentioned on several blogs and news programs now, but fastlad was the one I read first about Clinton’s Fox News interview. It’s delicious.
To add more to Hayes’ and my Wal-Mart post, Rosie watched the documentary that we talked about and put up some scary facts on her blog.
Ever wonder what it would look like to eat WAY too much? Sure you have. Go to National Geographic’s site for a picture of a python that ate a pregnant sheep and was too full to crawl away from the middle of the street.
Hayes got a letter back from the mayor of Denver about his Elitch Garden’s concerns. Read about it in his blog update about his efforts to keep the amusement going.
And finally, the Mars rovers have been traveling around Mars at 44 yards a day for — get this — almost THREE years. (January will be their anniversary.) Opportunity is now overlooking Victoria Crater and now has the chance to see deeper into Mars’ geologic past than anything on Earth has before. So cool!

Regarding Wal Mart again- I just got back from TARGET where I “accidently” spent $118.00. Besides Pam’s birthday present and some needed winter gloves/scarf I have complete buyer’s remorse…until I read that Wal Mart post. I know Target is still a corporation, blah blah. But really, that’s the world we live in now. I’ve known quite a few people who worked there and were treated well, with good benefits. Yes, it’s more expensive, but it’s worth it to me. So not only did I NOT go to Walmart, but I went to their biggest competition. FUCK YEAH!
Actually I still feel guilty, but not quite so much ;)
That python pic was disturbing as hell, but they should have had that in SOAMFP.
