Tribadism Female Siblings

As some of you may have noticed, I’m a big fan of Scissor Sisters. I mean, how can you NOT love an over-the-top New York pop group who backs their cockiness with such strong song writing? If decadence were a music group, it would be Scissor Sisters.

Anyway, big, big thanks to Scott-O-Rama for finding the video for the new single, "I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’" which debuted in the UK on Thursday. The song itself was co-written with Dame Sir Elton John. Soon — very soon — the song will be stuck in your head, too!

Ah! Thank the gods of dance! Scissor Sisters are back! Fantastic! And I must stop using exclamation marks for a while!

If you’re a fan - and believe me, who could doubt you? - then have you got hold of the demo version of the first album? It’s not available to buy and so must be obtained by subterfuge (otherwise known as P2P file sharing) but it is SO much better than the version that hit the stores, and that’s saying something because the official version is still brilliant!

The demo album includes extra tracks which never materialised elsewhere plus a fantastic longer version of ‘Filthy Gorgeous’ and differently-mixed takes on most of the songs which eventually materialised in the forms most people know them.

By the way, in the spirit of summer silliness I’ve inaugurated annual blogging awards of my own. Do consider entering - the info is on my front page. x

You know, Jake’s lost some weight, hasn’t he? What do you reckon? The E-plan diet or the coke spree? Either way, the be-atch has my thin and I want it back! x

I do have that mix of Filthy/Gorgeous, but didn’t know there was a demo collection out there ripe for the pillaging. Arrrrr.

…not that I would EVER do that. That’s wrong!

  4. Andy Says:

Of course not. That was my duplicate from the parallel Earth writing, not me - he pops round from the other side of the sun sometimes and causes me no end of hassle. I would in no way advocate impoverishing music executives. Ever.

Um, but he left me some details on that demo album so if you want to drop me a line via my contact page I pass on the details. For information only. x
