Imagined Debate At The IAU Conference

Pluto: I will be prepared to carry out the responsibilities of a planet of our solar system. And I will be prepared to do that. I will be prepared not only because of my service hosting a moon, but because of my ability to travel around the Sun. It is not just age; it’s accomplishments, it’s experience. I have far more experience than many others that sought the title of planet in our solar system. I have as much experience in our solar system as Uranus did when he sought the title of planet. I will be prepared to deal with the planets in this solar system because I am one of them.

IAU: Pluto, we’ve studied Uranus, we know Uranus, Uranus is a friend of ours. Pluto, you are no Uranus! (*snicker* We’re such jerks. Tee-hee, we said Uranus.)
