Mom Emails
Thursday, June 1st, 2006 at 11:26 amI’m not sure about you, but my mom sends me emails that can only be described as cute. You know, ones with angels floating around with a poem that is supposed to be life changing. I read them, but most cause Cuteness Overload; however, Mom sent me one today that actually got an "Ahhhh, that’s so cute!" out of me — which may be due to meeting someone recently who I actually like, which powered-down my Cynic Shield. The email was a series of pictures with a giant dog and a little baby called The Bodyguard. Here are my two favorite:

Why is the dog licking it’s chops in the second picture? Did he get a taste of baby?

No he did not get a taste of baby but it sounds like your jealous he’s not licking you

I think your mom is THE coolest….

Is it wrong I think the dog is a lot cuter than the human baby? This is why I can’t picture myself having kids.
Still, this makes me a softy too. Not as much as “The Giving Tree” still does though.

Dan: Oh, she went there. We were on the phone talking about our come backs and she won. :)
Hermit: I’ll tell her to read your very nice comments. You guys are the coolest for recognizing Mom’s cool factor
Leslie: I don’t think it’s wrong at all. It’s who you are go. Go with it girl!
Anonymous: No, the giving tree would have been a lot softer, I’m sure.

OK, so I have spent a day trying to come up with a comeback, but sadly, I admit defeat to you mom! I should learn you can never match a mother when it comes to the smackdown!

I think an important lesson has been learned here.
